Dr. Tatsuya Nakama earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki, Japan. After the primary residency in Miyazaki University Hospital, he has been started his Cardiologist career at Miyazaki Medical Association Hospital, Japan. He has shown well-balanced activities in the daily clinical practice, clinical research, and education. In 2018, he relocated to Tokyo and started working at Tokyo Bay Medical Center, Urayasu, Japan and is devoting his energies to educating young interventional fellows, clinical research and contributing to development of community medicine.
Among his sub-specialties, in the field of PAD, he has contributed many publications regarding the technique, feasibility, and clinical implication of challenging endovascular treatment. Currently He is active as a principal investigator of several clinical studies. He is particularly passionate about the treatment of chronic limb threatening ischemia, especially in the EVT for infrapopliteal and Inframalleolar diseases. In addition, with his outstanding EVT techniques, he conducts educational live demonstrations at congresses around the world, including the LINC (2022-present) and JET (2017-Present).
