Understanding Peripheral Artery Disease & Peripheral Neuropathy.

Imagine the worst Charlie Horse you've ever had and having it linger 24/7, when you walk, and waking you up out of a sound sleep. That's the curse of Peripheral Artery Disease, or PAD. PAD is poor circulation in mainly the legs caused by plaque build-up. It's a silent killer as it sneaks up on you! You don't know you have it as the plaque is building as most physicians brush off early symptoms of leg fatigue, leg cramps, neuropathy as old age, arthritis, or diabetes. It's not until you have a complete roadblock where few options are available to treat, when doctors suddenly pay attention. The Global PAD Association is trying to educate primary care doctors about PAD to get a diagnosis sooner so patients can get the care they need to stall its progression to prevent permanent, debilitating, neuropathy from setting in. In honor of Mark, his wife Pam has asked that we set up a campaign to help raise awareness and support patients with PAD and the neuropathy caused by poor circulation. There is NO overhead at the Global PAD Association. No salaries. We are all volunteers and every penny goes to the effort. Feel free to also request updates on the spend for donations. Thank you in advance for helping to save life and limb in Mark's memory.
